These dates which have had an impact on our evolution

Following the launch of a research theme in the LTDS laboratory at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon, Professor Guy Stremsdoerfer developed and perfected the innovative spray metallization technology in the 1990s.

A few years later in 2007, his son Samuel Stremsdoerfer industrialized this innovation and founded JetMetal™. From a confidential start-up of 4 people, Jet Metal™ is rapidly expanding on its markets to reach today more than 25 employees and a very strong international presence.

1990
Researcher and Emeritus Professor at the École Centrale of Lyon, it was in the early 90s that Professor Guy Stremsdoerfer launched a work theme on the simplification of the metallization of Epoxy material for applications in the field of electronics. This is how he worked on the development of a breaking throuh technology allowing the metallization of materials by a new way: dynamic chemical deposition.

Birth of the spray metallization: “Dynamic Chemical Deposit” and filing of the 1st patent.

Creation of Jet Metal Technologies SA by Samuel Stremsdoerfer.
The process’s 1st industrialization.
Creation of a 1st team dedicated to launch Jet Metal Technologies’s ambitious project.
2008
The process’s 1st industrial validation in the decorative field and the 1st search of financement for the compagny’s development.

Industrialization of the process: entry into the cosmetic packaging market (installation of an industrial line in the glass sector).
Finalization of the 1st fund raising (A Series) with 4 Venture Capital.
2010
Consolidation of its client’s portfolio and development of a line producing products for the plastic industry.

Penetration of the plastic industry : establishment of an industrial line.
2012
Internationalization of Jet Metal Technologies with the opening of offices in Sao Paulo (Brazil) and start-up of a high-capacity metallization line in Mexico.
